In this lesson you will create a creature using found blobs as a starting point for your creature..
Copy the Vocabulary Into Your sketchbook
The vocabulary can go into your sketchbook OR notebook. Wherever it is easier for you to remember where the vocabulary is. It should also be easy to get to and organized. You will need your notes for a worksheet we will fill out later.

View at least 4 pieces of blob creature art and choose a favorite. Print out a copy and be prepared to talk about it.

Blob and Paul DuBuffet Vocabulary
Cool Colors-The phrase used to describe any color that is calm or soothing in nature. Cool colors are not overpowering and tend to recede in space. Examples of cool colors include white, gray, blue and green (think calming blue waters). Contrast with warm colors.
Warm Colors-The phrase used to describe any color that is vivid or bold in nature. Warm colors are those that tend to advance in space and can be overwhelming. Examples of warm colors include red and orange (think exciting fire and volcanoes). Contrast with cool colors.

Texture-texture-how something feels or looks like it would feel if it were touched.
